One metro, four very different jobs

Concrete work in Avondale and Logan Square is not the same job as concrete work in Naperville. On a 25-foot city lot the gangway decides the method: material comes in by buggy or by pump because nothing else fits, and the old slab goes out the same way. In the suburbs a truck backs up to the forms.

The North Shore, Evanston, Wilmette and Highland Park, is mature-tree country. Roots under walks and driveways are the single most common reason we are called. The near west suburbs, Oak Park, Berwyn and Riverside, have historic housing stock and village specifications that expect the work done to standard.

DuPage, Wheaton, Elmhurst and Hinsdale, is where the 1980s and 90s subdivision driveways are all coming due at once, alongside heavy tear-down and rebuild activity that needs demolition and new foundations together.
